Is it possible to learn to dance after high school?
My parents weren’t exactly generous with sports or activities when we were kids. I’d love to learn to dance but just feel so uncoordinated. I’ve noticed adult beginner lessons for ballet, jazz, and hip-hop dance, but is it really possible to learn a skill like this when you’re closer to 30 than to 18?
It’s definitely possible to start dance now! Dance is a great thing to do, because it keeps you fit and flexible, and it also improves your posture and balance. Figure out what class you want to take. I would suggest ballet, because it’s the foundation of all dance and even if you don’t like it it will be easier to switch later. Once you’ve figured it out, go for it! One thing you could do to prepare is stretch out a little before you go, just so you’ll be ready.
