Dance Lessons San Diego

Hip hop dancers here!?
When you guys first started out, was it a little bit hard? Did you guys think you “sucked” at first and your body was to rigid for the moves? What did you guys do to get better?
I’m just starting to get into hip hop (San Diego area) and since I haven’t found a studio yet I’m learning via youtube. I heard that its the hardest way to learn though -_-; Anyways, I’m getting discouraged because I don’t know if I can LEARN to dance hip hop. Someone sad that some people just can’t.
P.S.
I’m afraid to start taking lessons just in case I look like a complete loser because I’m not as good. Generally in your sessions, do people laugh at eachother? Just asking so please be nice :].
Hip hop is hard at first, but by the second year, depending on how much you practice, it becomes the best thing ever. You learn, just by moving to the beat, how to feel the beat. Learning off YouTube is a good idea, but real lessons work more efficiently. Just learn to hear a beat, and mess around with different moves you see. There are no rules here, anything goes!
P.S. People most likley won’t laff, they are just as nervous, or selfcentered. They have attitude, but are willing to help. Dancers stick together!

Good Luck!
